The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

A beautifully detailed antique, vintage map from the year 1881, of an aerial view over the city of Mount Vernon, County Seat of Jefferson County, Illinois. This wonderfully nostalgic piece of history is from the Public Domain, created and published by H.Brosius, S.C.Polk, Beck & Pauli and J.J.Stoner. Also included, below the map is an index of prominent architecture of the area and a list of buildings of note, including churches, schools, stores and manufacturers. This map has been restored, converted to sepia tone and has hand blended textures.

My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
